Refund Policy
Last updated · September 2026
Wholehuman Collective is a California-based 501(c)(3) public charity, EIN 92-0584007. Donations are voluntary charitable contributions and are generally non-refundable — but if something went wrong with your gift, we will make it right. This policy explains when refunds apply and how to request one.
1. When we issue refunds
We gladly refund donations in the following cases:
- Duplicate donation — the same gift was charged more than once.
- Incorrect amount — you intended to give one amount and were charged another (for example, a typo at checkout).
- Unauthorized transaction — a donation was made from your payment method without your permission.
- Technical error — a site or payment-processing failure produced a charge you did not intend.
Requests for reasons other than the above are reviewed case by case, with goodwill. We would rather refund a gift than keep a donation that a donor regrets.
2. How to request a refund
Use our refund request form or email support@wholehumancollective.net within 30 days of the donation, from the email address used at checkout, and include:
- The date and amount of the donation.
- The receipt number or Stripe confirmation email, if you have it.
- A short description of what went wrong.
A human reads every request. We respond within 2 business days.
3. How refunds are processed
Approved refunds are issued through Stripe, our payment processor, back to the original payment method. Depending on your bank or card issuer, the funds typically appear within 5–10 business days. We never ask for your card number or banking details to process a refund.
4. Recurring charges
We do not offer subscriptions or recurring donations. Every gift is a single one-time payment, so there is never a recurring charge to stop. See our Cancellation Policy for details.
5. Tax receipts
Donations are tax-deductible to the extent permitted by U.S. law. If a donation is refunded, the corresponding tax receipt is void and should not be used in a tax filing.
6. Chargebacks
If you believe a charge is wrong, please contact us before opening a dispute with your bank — we resolve almost every case faster than a chargeback does, and disputes create costs that reduce what reaches the people we serve.
